Effects of Advil
Advil relieves small aches and pains caused by: headaches, toothaches, backaches, menstrual cramps, the common cold, muscular aches and minor pain of arthritis. Common side effects of Advil include:
- Abdominal pain
- acid or sour stomach
- belching
- bloating
- cloudy urine
Some rare side effects include:
- Agitation
- back, leg, or stomach pains
- bleeding gums
- blistering, peeling, loosening of skin
- blood in urine or stools
In a study published in the journal Public Library of Science-Genetics, researchers treated baker’s yeast, worms and flies with ibuprofen and saw that the treatment added about 15 percent more to the species’ lives. These results were translated into human years and equaled about 12 years of extra living. Ibuprofen is not physically or psychologically addictive, but some people rely on it to maintain their activity.
